O’Toole told the gathering to continue to “fight for American democracy” and urged the United States to halt relations with Germany “and any other nation that persecutes minority groups. And we must acknowledge the existence of an armed, uniformed, terroristic, antidemocratic, un-American fascist force in our city.”
