I closed my eyes and let myself fall into it. Into the reality that I couldn’t believe but also couldn’t deny. That I’d fantasized about and chastised myself for wanting something so far from reality. To belong with and to someone on such a deep level that there wasn’t a way to escape. To have something that no one could take away.
“We’re more beasts than men. And you know from your books that beasts don’t need time or space to know that something belongs to them. You’re ours.”
