This girl… she’s real, and she might very well be the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen.
And that’s where the danger lies… Elena makes me want to give her the world.
“I told you, Elena. I’m going to make sure it’s evident to every man that you’re mine—Lucian included. It’s me you married. Remember that.”
“You don’t like the way he touched my feet?” He looks at me, dead serious, and nods.
“And that’s where you went wrong,” he says, yanking Sebastian’s hand off mine, his anger overflowing. “Don’t fucking touch my woman. Don’t look at her. Don’t speak to her. Don’t even fucking think about her. If you ever come near her again, I’ll do worse than sink your fucking share price.”
My heart stirs and I smile down at her. She considers her home to be with me?
If she goes on that date, will she kiss him the way she kissed me? Will she smile at him? Will she ask him about three good things that might have happened to him that day? All those things that she used to reserve for me, will she give it all to someone else?
“You always ask me about three good things that happened during my day, but baby, everything good in my life is you. The three best things to have happened in my entire life were meeting you, marrying you… and falling in love with you.”
I look at her, and it hits me. I lost her. I lost the one good thing in my life, and I only have myself to blame.
