She entered the washroom and suddenly stopped in her track. Shrieking with fear, she almost turned around to get out. A stray woman in jeans and tees was staring at her in the mirror. Unkempt & dishevelled hair, sunken cheeks, porcelain skin turned ashen, dry and anaemic. The moss of her hollow eyes looked like a flaccid leaf anxiously sticking on in the hope of a drop of chlorophyll to survive. Lips that were honeyed and luscious once, were now looking dry and chapped. She looked tired and sick, haunted and ghostly.
Some unknown people wanted to kill her just for the crime of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Her husband had been killed but she didn’t have the time to cry, to mourn his death.

When death taunts you with its icy cold stare and you stand helpless, dazed, bewildered. It’s something, not everybody would understand.’
