“I like the way you hurt me, little bird.” My entire body lit on fire. It always happened when he was around. Ever since we’d bonded, I couldn’t get enough of him. “Damien.” “I love it when you say my name,” he purred.
“Kian, you’re my mate too.” I placed my hand on his arm, and he froze.
“I don’t care what upsets her. You’re who I care about, and you can’t tell me you’d be content with her propositioning us.” “Of course not.” I tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear as I looked up at him. “But—” “No buts, Wren.” Alister shook his head. “You’re ours, but we’re just as much yours.” “And we’re not going to let some bitch with no boundaries fuck with what’s yours,” Rhett said.
“Where are her panties?” “They’re mine now.” Damien winked before fading into the shadows. My lips flattened. “He stole another pair.” Alister gripped my chin in between his index finger and thumb. “How many has the demon stolen?” “That would make five,” I grumbled, with my cheeks burning.
“When did you get so assertive?” His voice rumbled in my ear. “When I realized you needed it.” I gasped as he started grinding his hard length into my backside.
“Do you know what I really need?” he growled in my ear. “A break from work.” He flipped me over and settled between my legs. His girth strained against his pants and filled the space between my legs as he pushed his body against mine. “Only if that break includes being inside of my mate.”
“I’d do anything for you. I’d even reanimate for you, and you know how I feel about that.”
Seeing as there are now two accounts of a woman’s voice talking about the specimens, it’s obvious what the problem is.” It went quiet for a few moments, and my heart pounded loud in my ears. Thorn and Damien flanked each side of Rowan as the danger rang loud and clear. There was someone on campus who was working with humans.
“To set the record straight,” Damien started with glee in his tone. “Wren’s mine. She’s my mate. The Fates also mated her with six others. The bitch with a hole in her stomach had a point. We are powerful men, but Wren didn’t do anything to make us notice her. We did that all on our own. And I swear to Kalista, if anyone talks to my little bird like that again, I’ll peel your skin off and feed it to you.”
“We could kill them,” Damien offered, running a hand through his hair. Alister let out a sigh. “We can’t just kill everyone.” “Why not? Wouldn’t it solve the problem?” Damien tilted his head.
“Rowan, I’m going to be gone for two days with two of my mates. I will be okay.”
I don’t want any of my mates out of my sight, either. I also know that the Demon Capital is home to two of my mates, and I’ve never been there. I want to support them when they go back and try to convince them to join our side. You have to see things from my perspective, Rowan.”
Damien nodded once, and a tendril of his shadow sliced down and severed the piece of skin from Nate’s face that had been peeled back. Damien levitated it before tossing it over the walls of the training hall. “Good luck finding your cheek, fucker. Don’t even think about our mate, or I’ll crack open your skull and rip out your brain.”
“Are you also fully mated to a firedrake?” Claude asked, his gaze not once wavering from me. “The headmaster, perhaps?” Terror gripped my heart and flashed through the bond to my three mates. Urgency bounced back to me from them. Kian choked out a few words that I didn’t recognize from their language, and a purple cord became visible between Kian and Claude. A lightning bolt shot from Kian’s palm, obliterating it. “I hereby cut ties with the Necromancer Village.” Claude and Bill both jumped to their feet, but Kian grabbed on to both Lachlan and me as Nightshade held on to his hair. We were
