“Do you want a relationship with him?” Noah asked. Was that an option? Waking up to Felix, going to bed with Felix, killing with him, fighting with him, holding his hand, fucking him whenever he wanted. Well, whenever Felix wanted. “Yes, please.”
“I don’t like when you’re mad at me,” he muttered.
“No, you’re more than that. Just like this guy is more than that for Asa. I know it.”
There’s no turning back time. If something happens to me, you’re going to be sad. If something happened to you, I’d probably burn down the city in your honor. If I couldn’t see you every day, I’d lose my mind.”
“Like I can’t stop smiling when I wake up and you’re there. I’m lucky I get to wake up to you every morning? You are the best part of my day. You’re the only thing that matters to me besides Asa.
“And don’t get it twisted, kitten. Puppy or not, if somebody looks at you, touches you, thinks they have some kind of claim to you…I’m going to show them what a feral fucking junkyard dog looks like.”
“Can I carve my name over your heart?” he asked, tone light, like it was just a joke. Avi’s voice hitched. “You can carve your name into my actual heart, kitten. It feels kind of like you already have.”
“I’m not lying, kitten. Do it. Carve your name into my skin. Stake your claim. I want you to.”
“Please, don’t cry, kitten. I hate when you cry. Hit me, stab me, shoot me, just please, stop being sad. I don’t know what to do when you’re sad.”
“The only way you and I are leaving this world is together, in matching body bags. Take that how you will.” Felix put his hand over his name on Avi’s chest. “‘Til death do us part?” “‘Til death do us part, kitten. Promise.”
