Our criteria were straightforward: the place could be no more than a fifteen-minute drive from the town centre and train station, it must have shops and a pub, it couldn’t be too overlooked and had to be surrounded by plenty of long countryside walks for when we get that dog we’re always promising ourselves.
The closeness to a train station requirement slightly worries me. Nobody wants to be near the train cuz it's so loud. They clearly have a car so getting to a train station shouldn't be a problem for them. The only benefit I could see is last minute trips and quick getaways? ~Z
