I’d never been this keyed into my own existence before. It was electric, like lightning rather than blood coursed through me. On instinct, I lifted my hands and turned my face away. Blinding light erupted around us, blasting both of us apart.
I growled, my voice a gravelly rasp as it washed over her skin. “Oh, âme soeur. So perfect.”
“Ah, Pestilence. I don’t recall inviting you over.” “Since when does a mother need a reason to come visit her favorite son?” “You mean her only son.”
“So, Auntie War has failed, as you know, and we are on a timeline, Pan. The seals won’t stay open forever. But it seems to me you are simply sitting around playing with panties. Where are we with the plan?”
