Under the Cover of Darkness

To my best and longest friend, Debra Every day you wake up battling the darkness, trying to keep it at bay for another day. Battling each and every day with your own mind is terrifying, but still you manage it. You are so much stronger than you realise! No matter the distance between us, or the days we go between talking, I know that our friendship is unwavering. If we can both fight against our own bodies and minds to survive, our friendship will always stand strong. Keep believing in yourself, being strong, and never be afraid to reach out for help. Nobody should have to fight the darkness alone!

It’s like she’s everywhere, and my body craves her. My darkness calls out to hers, and we can dive into the abyss together.

I felt like I got a glimpse of the real Addy in that moment, and if me being an asshole is what she needs to find herself again, then call me the villain. I don’t mind being the villain of the story, and long as she wears her crown and doesn’t shy away.

It’s easier to take stabs at someone else, as opposed to looking at yourself. Isn’t it?”
