If an action of an employee or associate is praiseworthy, well, my gosh, praise it, and preferably in public! Let them know you’re thankful. Let them know they have greatly honored the trust you have placed in them. After the praise, it also may be necessary to occasionally pull that same person aside and identify for them what they may have done better.
