They were five steps from the apartment door when Hart couldn’t stand it and reached for her, his hands sliding down her backside, pulling her into him as he kissed her again and again, his knuckles brushing the railing behind her in the narrow stairwell.
“Do you want to get in there on your own two feet, or do you want me to sling you over my shoulder and carry you in?” Mercy’s pretty eyes lit up, and she bolted for the bedroom. He chased after her, laughing as he caught up to her by the side of the bed, and he drew her into his arms.
“Show me what to do,” he said into the soft skin behind her ear, and she moved her hand over his, guiding him into the rhythm she liked, the pressure, the places that felt best. Her breathing grew ragged as their fingers worked together. Mercy ground her backside deeper and deeper into Hart’s pulsing need, and he nearly spilled over when he felt her release, her body convulsing in waves against him.
In answer, Mercy lay down on her back, her loosened hair spreading dark shadows across the pale pillowcase as she spread her legs for him, a gesture so trusting and intimate that Hart felt the urge to cry. “Are you sure?” he asked, his voice gruff. “I don’t want to crush you.” “I’m a big girl, Hart-ache. I’m hard to break.”
“How many times for him, or how many times for me? Because they’re not the same, and I am definitely in the lead.”
“Fuck you with your handshake.” She pushed his hand aside and hugged him. It didn’t help his wound, but it did wonders for his heart. “Get off me, you sap.”
He spoke the words into her hair with that quiet, sexy laugh of his. She turned her face up and nuzzled the bare skin of his neck above his collar. “Claiming the Nuzzle Nook outside the confines of your bed? Is that allowed?” “I demand to have full and complete access to my Nuzzle Nook at all times.”
