“Llewellyn,” she repeated, because when a guy had a name like that, you didn’t even have to make fun of it. Just repeating it was enough.
“My job keeps me busy, too!” she said now, crossing her arms over her chest. “The other day, I was organizing grimoires in the back room at Something Wicked, and then I was, like, ‘You know, “grimoire” is a weird name, where did that even come from?’ and the next thing I knew, I had, like, twelve Wikipedia tabs open, and it was dark outside.”
Gwyn shrugged. “Don’t seek to question my grudge-holding ways, Rhys. I’m a Taurus.”
if a girl could hold a grudge, she could also keep some secrets.
To catch someone’s eye and know what they were thinking. To be in a room full of people and know that that person was yours. To not just enjoy someone, but enjoy the person she was with them.
Diabolical. Absolutely fiendish. And when her eyes briefly met his, her cheek dimpling with a Go fuck yourself smile, Wells realized he had never been attracted to any woman more in his life. Well, that was bloody inconvenient.

The only way out is through,
Making up excuses to touch her and now defending her honor in public. He truly was a hopeless case.
“Hmm,” Wells said, because he’d learned over the years that was a good reaction when you had no fucking clue what to do or say.
She didn’t know, but Gwyn had always found it best to approach things with almost lethal amounts of confidence, and this time was no exception.
“I’m glad Morgan’s not evil, but I gotta be honest, Esquire. I’m really disappointed Morgan’s not evil.”
“And if I wanted to call you mine?” she asked, her voice low, and Wells’s grip tightened on her hand. “I’ll be that until I die.”
“I want all of you, too,” he told her. “The powerful witch and the woman who loves nothing better than to take the piss out of me when I deserve it. The woman who inspires loyalty in talking cats and Baby Witches and everyone she meets because her heart is the only thing more impressive than her magic. I want you, Gwyn Jones.”
