“Bad girl,” he growls. “Eat first. You’ll need your energy for later.” My pulse quickens,
“You look so hot in my clothes it pisses me off,” he barks in frustration, tugging at the hoodie. “Maybe I won’t buy you a new wardrobe, I’ll just force you to wear my shit all the time.” I laugh into the planes of his shoulder, but it melts
“I’m going to fuck you so hard you won’t be able to walk straight for a week.”
“Give. Me. Names.” “Angelo—” “Names, Rory.” His voice is rough and strangled, like he’s trying—and failing—to suppress his rage. “And addresses. Now.”
“I have killed every man on this coast that has touched you inappropriately. From Max to my own fucking uncle. These kids are next, and if anybody besides me puts so much of a finger on you from now on, they’ll be killed too.”
“You need to wear more clothes around the house, baby. If I catch one of Gabe’s men so much as glancing in your direction, I’ll carve their eyeballs out.”
“The Angels of Devil’s Dip, back together again. Fuck man, this is all I’ve ever wanted.”
“Shut up, Rory. He left his entire life in England and came back to Devil’s Dip for you. He’s so in love with you that it makes me sick.”
“She’s right, I am.”
“You have ten seconds to get on my bed before I lose my shit.”
“Fuck. I knew you’d look good on my bed,”
“Come and see me, then.” First the kiss, now this. It’s a stark contrast
“Don’t fucking play games,” he rasps “Touch it.”
“Those little panties you left in my plane, I’ve fucked them so many times I’ve lost count.” “Yeah?” “Yeah,” he grunts. Another inch. “And that stupid fucking matching bra.”
“I killed Max because I hated the way he touched you.” “I’ve never had a girlfriend, let alone cheated on one. I just needed you to hate me.” “On Halloween, I had to pull over and fuck my fist in my car at the thought of you because I couldn’t wait to get home.”
“Fuck,”
“That was the hottest thing I’ve ever seen.” A nip on my bottom lip. “You are the hottest thing I’ve ever seen.”
“I’m a bad man, Magpie.” “And I’m a bad girl. What’s your point?”
“When I say you’re mine, I mean you’re mine forever. No ifs, no buts. No changing your mind. Sure you want that?”
“Not just regular happy. I mean really fucking happy,” he growls into my mouth, palming my ass to pull me on top of him. “Can’t stop fucking smiling, don’t want to go to sleep because reality is better than your dreams kind of happy. I want to make you so damn happy that you shit sunshine and piss rainbows and people think you’re as high as a kite when you walk into a room.” He nips my lower lip in mild frustration, and his fingers dig deep into the back of my thighs as he slides me up to his groin. “If you want to be mine, I’ll make you that happy, Rory.”
“I’ll get on my knees and beg you until you get so sick of me you agree to be mine anyway.”
“I’ll show you what it looks like. Now, be a good girl and moan my name while I worship you.”
“Your brother’s renovation obsession woke me up and now I’m in the mood to do bad things.”
“You don’t have to do bad things anymore, baby girl. I’ll do them for you.”
“I appreciate the sentiment, but I like doing bad things. Makes me feel good.”
“I’ve got a busy day today, baby.”
“Then I’ll leave you to it,”
“Not until I fuck you senseless. Only then will you be free to leave me to it.”
“I’m sore,” I say shyly. “Then I’ll kiss it better,”
“Fuck, baby,” he says roughly, throwing his head back against the couch. “You’re going to make me a five-minute man.”
“Who knew a Cosa Nostra don could be so sweet?” He dips down to cup my ass cheek, and squeezes, hard. “Use that smart mouth again, and I’ll remind you that I’m not,”
“Sometimes I think I conjured you from a wet dream.”
