Author like some many in the scifi genre over the past few years, and with increasing frequency, has a peculiar writing fetish in use of "at least."
Given how prevalent and pervasive these writing fetishes are ('smirk' a past example), a reader wonders if it's from writing software, or writing workshops/conferences, or outsourcing much of writing to beta readers & focus groups by authors.
