There was no chair left vacant for Darius.
“If you have to go, please be the last one. Please stay until the end. I can’t lose you. Not you.”

It was a crescent moon with a wolf perched upon the curve at its base while a bat hung from the curve above, their faces angled towards one another, but they were just out of reach.
