There was a second where Maeve thought about doing a little happy dance on the street, but she resisted. She was not the Cindy Lou Who in this story, though it did feel kind of like a Christmas miracle had just fallen into her lap.

Maeve generally referred to her disposition on life as being a “Don’t Care Bear.”
