That she might look upon their being together as nothing more impactful than autumn leaves tumbling in the wind also left him unsettled.
He realized he needed more. Wanted more, and maybe with a woman he could love like he loved breathing.
Everything about her made him want to awaken each morning for the rest of his life with her beside him in just this way.
“You remind me of my aunts,” Raven said to her. “Are they forces of nature?” Raven snickered. “Yes, ma’am.” “Good. Somebody has to run the world because the folks claiming to be in charge are doing a terrible job.
