“Want to know a secret, Sunshine?” His tongue darts out between his lips, and his gaze drops to my mouth, then flicks back to my eyes. “I would’ve noticed.” He walks away but pauses near the stairs. “And you’re right. You and I don’t know each other. But I’ll let you keep the shirt. It looks good on you.”
“Then, you’re not allowed to be jealous,” he growls. “I’m not jealous.” “Could’ve fooled me.”
“Tell me, Sunshine.” He pauses, and I hold my breath. “Did he notice?”
“Uh…sorry if I…” Her voice trails off, the light from the bathroom casting our shadows along the dark hallway. “Interrupted me jerking off?”
I could kiss her all day. No food. No sleep. I don’t need anything else except her mouth on mine.
Colt: It means I kinda miss you, Sunshine.
This can’t be happening. We can’t be fighting over something as stupid as hockey.
It hits me then. We aren’t fighting because of hockey. We’re fighting because Logan’s an ass, and she’s learning how to trust again. But she’s talking to me about it. She’s trying to be open. To be honest. And I’ve been an ass for not doing the same.
“Ash.” His grip tightens around my bicep, tainting his touch with frustration. “Tell me we’re good, or I break up with Mia.”
“Think you can come right now, Sunshine?”
