“You’re playing with fire, Quinn.” I whisper as I gently press her against the door. “An angel like you has no business tempting a devil like me. I will ruin you and not feel bad about it.” “The devil was an angel too.” She says, looking at me through her lashes, still biting that plush lip of hers. “So then tell me, Angel… what do you want?”
I’ve never wanted to be water so bad in my life.
I’m also hoping this isn’t the only time you’re wrapped around me tonight.”
“We don’t always have to let our walls down completely. Sometimes all we need is a little light to shine through the cracks to make a difference.”
When her lips leave mine, she takes a piece of me with her.
I want this moment, and any others with her, to be only for me. With me.
It’s like a train wreck. I know I should turn away, but I still end up watching through the slits of my fingers with my eyes wide shut, hoping for a different fucking outcome.
He could shatter me into tiny little pieces and it wouldn’t matter. As long as I’d be with him–I’d go down with him.
The problem is, I fell and there was nothing there to catch me… and I knew that. Yet I still stage dived, hoping he would.
“I don’t know. You may have to teach me again. I learn better with repetition.”
I’m trying to be respectful even though I want to disrespect you respectfully right now.”
I watch her walk away as I realize my life is changed forever while everyone else goes back to normal. Not that I would wish this on anyone, but it only adds to the isolated feeling.
I’ve never believed in fate until I met you. But we kept getting pushed back into each other’s lives until we… collided with fate.
