She might not be looking her best right now—her skin is pale, her makeup is smeared all over her face, and she’s got obvious tear tracks down her cheeks—but she’s beautiful. She always will be to me.
I’d really hate to have to watch Seb kill his best friend. “Just so you know,” he finally breathes, his voice deep and terrifying, “if you hurt him, I’ll rip your heart out with my bare hands.”
My heart aches just looking at her. We grow up listening to stories about love and finding the one. Never in a million fucking years did I think it would feel like this. That it would complete me and fucking terrify me all at the same time. Everything about her just brings me to my fucking knees.
But fuck it, we’re both as twisted as each other. The only therapy I need is this. Her. She’s my fucking saviour. My fucking everything.
I smile as I recall some of our worst times. But now… Now he’s my everything, and I can’t imagine my life without him in it.
She puts on a good show for everyone else, appearing like this is just another normal day. But it’s not. It’s anything fucking but, and she needs to stop pretending that it’s okay. “It’s okay to break, baby. I’ll hold you together. I fucking promise.”
“You’re a dirty fucking whore, Hellion,” he says, holding my eyes as he rubs my clit. “And you’re my whole fucking world.”
“Fierce.” Kiss. “So fucking strong.” Kiss. “My world.” Kiss. “My weakness.” Kiss.
“You okay?” she asks. “Yeah. Just needed to…” Her brows pinch as she waits for me to finish. “I love you, Hellion.” Her face softens, a content smile pulling at her lips. “I can’t wait to burn the rest of hell down together.”
