My cousin would talk about these problems with her sisters and neighbours. But her husband didn’t talk, he just took out his frustration on his wife. I wish men and women could just talk to each other. But men here never like discussing money with their wives. I think it makes them feel like they are not providing for us or doing what a man is supposed to do. So, instead, men drink and hit their wives and children.’
