Ok so now I’m enjoying this less. This was going well. But I hate “woke” writing like this. Stop trying to politicize romance novels. Why can’t you guys leave politics out of fucking ANYTHING? Also, social justice warrioring hurts your cause more than helps it!
He looked around at her family. “You are all looking at this from an ideological standpoint, but to Kamilah this isn’t about the fucked-up system.” He grabbed Kamilah’s hand. “This is her life’s calling, her heart and soul. This is her labor of love, and it’s dedicated to you, her family. How can any one of you judge her for it? How can you not support her in trying to ensure it survives?”
