You Better Be Lightning (Button Poetry)

Being right is boring.

Regret is a time machine to the past. Worry is a time machine to the future. Gratitude is a time machine to the present.

If we never deny the inevitable end of the story, we will write it more beautiful while we’re alive.

Silence rides shotgun wherever hate goes.

What if we don’t have to be healed to be whole?

a difficult life is not less worth living than a gentle one. Joy is just easier to carry than sorrow,

Why are the keys to our future in the hands of those who have the longest commutes from their heads to their hearts?

Who, more than the earth, has bled for us?

We need so much less than we take. We owe so much more than we give.

I love myself is often spelled g-o-o-d-b-y-e

You can die from a broken heart, but the opposite is also true.

To be human, it seems, is to know your true self only as well as you know a galaxy you’ve never been to.
