I see it all the time on Divorce Court, where beautiful, smart women put their careers, children, and financial health on the line. And though they may think they are doing it for love, it’s not love at all but rather the pressure to keep a relationship, even if it causes you to settle for less.
Remember, there are things you can do when you’re single that you might have to negotiate when you’re in a relationship.
If you’re not happy alone, you won’t be happy with someone else either.
“Being alone does not make a person lonely, but the perception of being alone is what makes one lonely.”
There’s no man who can fix you and, in fact, the wrong man can hurt you deeply.
“What you believe about yourself will keep showing up in your life.”
Remember: there is only one person you are guaranteed to be with the rest of your life—that person is you. You are high-value. People may even call you high-maintenance. Well, when you’re the one maintaining you, why is that a problem? Dust off your shoulders, readjust your crown, and act like you know!
You’re not in the business of changing minds.
“You don’t have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great.”
The funny thing is, you’re always achieving when you’re growing and learning.
