“Emerson Grant is a fucking god, and he spent the whole night obsessed with you.
All I know is that when he looks at me the way he is right now, I want whatever I can get.
There’s affection in his eyes as he stares down at me, warmth trickling over me. The way that look makes me feel is like gold. If I could bottle it up and sell it, I’d be rich.
Dear God, please let this be the only man I fuck for the rest of my life because there’s not a chance in hell anyone else could ever top that.
Oh well, I don’t need to breathe. I just need him.
How the fuck can such a brilliant, beautiful girl think so badly of herself?
“You cost me so much money because you are worth it, Charlotte.
“Because you are mine, Charlotte. And I don’t appreciate when anyone talks badly about something that is mine. Do you think I have bad taste?”
“Forget everyone before me, Charlotte. Just focus on me. I would have paid a million dollars for this hour with you. Do you hear me?”
“I’m addicted to you,” he groans while fucking me. “You were made for me, Charlotte. You’re mine, and I never want to let you go. Do you understand me? I’d fuck you forever if I could.”
“You’re mine to take care of too, Emerson,”
“Maybe I want to make you so dependent on me that you never want to leave me. I want to be so good for you that you keep me forever.”
That in just five seconds flat, I knew she was somehow made for me.
After twenty years of waiting, this is the one that has finally shattered the belief that I would never find this. Never find love. But I have…because of her.
“Crawl to me.”
No, to your commands. No, to your promises. No, to your praise.
“You mean, will people think it’s wrong? That sounds like a them problem.”
“It’s just that…I don’t think you changed your identity. From my perspective, it was like you got all of that confidence back. Did he really make you change, or did he let you be yourself?”
“You didn’t answer my question,” he adds. “Do you love her?” This time I let him hear my response. “Yes. Very much.”
“I’m on my knees for you, Charlotte. I know I promised to take care of you, and I made a mistake. Let me make it up to you.”
Glancing up at her again, I don’t see the too-young girl that stumbled into my office that first day. I see Charlotte in a form she was always meant to be—confident, sexual, and happy.
“Touch either of them again, and I’ll fucking bury you.”
“I may not be the best father in the world, but I’d choose my kid’s happiness over mine every time. And I know for a fact that you could never love Charlie as much as I do. Not if you could stand being away from her for a single day.”
A better man might apologize first, but I can’t bring myself to apologize for loving Charlotte. I’m not sorry about it.
“Because he spent the last two hours telling me how much he loves you and isn’t going to wait for my permission to date you…openly.”
