We stand at glory’s door because we know there is wonder on the other side. We long to see it ourselves, and we want to show it to others. Sometimes this is the artist’s work—to stand and knock on the door of glory and, whenever possible, siphon little wisps of smoke from those places where we catch a glimpse of the light so that others might see and believe.
