The life of a child is about firsts. The life of a parent is about lasts.

the ocean covered over 70 percent of the Earth’s surface and contained approximately 97 percent of all the planet’s water. Of that, scientists estimated only roughly 20 percent had been explored. Anyone who worked in the water knew most of the ocean was a completely unknown frontier.

The sunlight zone made up only 5 percent of the ocean.

Will was always shocked by how easily people believed that things were going to be okay just because someone said so.
