"You can stop acting like a big baby for a start. Suck it up and wait for her to return. Go to the gym, work off all that sexual frustration. I'll keep an eye on our girl."
"Promise me, and I'll give you whatever you want. I'll burn the world to the ground, or I'll lay it at your feet, just promise me you won't run away and scare me again."
She's protecting us? US? The bull demanded. Asterion didn't have the words for what welled up inside of him.
"Come here," Asterion said to Ariadne and picked her up again. "I can walk, you know," she replied, even as she hung onto him. "But you're not wearing any shoes, sweetness, and I don't want you any more hurt than what you are," Asterion said softly.
"You know I was never one for peace, but I think I'm going to be okay now. You can move on. You don't have to watch out for me anymore. I have someone else willing to pick me up when I fall. I love you, Lia."
