It’s clear to me somehow that she doesn’t have children of her own, but she appears the type who might very well be someone’s favorite aunt.
I kind of love this. I relate this this, as a three-time favorite aunt.
Some people jumped in and tried to save someone who was in trouble; others did anything they could to save themselves. Ollie hadn’t meant to drown Nettie, he was simply following his instincts, just as she was following hers. My children had just shown me who they were.
