Appetite for Innocence

You can’t miss someone you never knew.

No matter how hard she worked she never complained. Ever. She went without just so I could have things and if there was ever a choice between her happiness or mine, she put me first.

The angry man from the bathroom is gone and has been replaced with a perfect gentleman.

“I wish I could tuck you into your Baby Bjorn and carry you close to me everywhere I go just like when you were a little girl,”

“You’ve walked through hell and you made it. All by yourself. But you don’t have to keep walking by yourself anymore. I’m here and I’m not going anywhere.”

Nobody should have to live through the things you’ve lived through.

I don’t know what I like. I’m not sure I even know who I am. Maybe I’ve never known.

Your first love is always different and you think you’ll be together forever. I was sure he was the man I was going to marry.
