Is there theologically5 a fundamental difference between the teachings of the Reformation and those proclaimed by the “German Christians”? We fear: Yes!—They say: No! This lack of clarity must be cleared up by a confession for our time. If this doesn’t come from the other side—and there’s no sign of it coming soon—then it must come from us; and it has to come in such a way that the others must say Yes or No to it.
