“Personally, I believe there is a plan for our lives; whether we seek it out or it’s dropped on us remains to be seen. However, I also believe that we, out of our own pride or greed or cowardice, can stray from that plan to the point that the Creator is forced to take it from us and give it to another. To say that the Creator needs any of us to work His will is hubris indeed. Not every man or woman born into this world is meant for greatness. Most are happy to simply go about living their lives in peace. Those are the ones who tend to have the greatest flexibility in their choices.
