This Is Vegan Propaganda (& Other Lies the Meat Industry Tells You)

There is even a brand called Happy Eggs, which, when I used to eat eggs, was the one I would always buy, because I believed that the name meant that they must treat their hens with compassion. But when you consider what actually happens to egg-laying hens, it’s nothing short of outrageous that a brand can call their eggs ‘happy’. Three farms (all RSPCA assured) that produce eggs for the Happy Egg Company were exposed by an investigation in early 2021, which documented dead and decomposing birds, and birds with bloody wounds and open sores.21 In response, a spokesperson for Noble Foods, who own the Happy Egg brand, said, ‘Nothing is more important to us than the safe and proper care of our hens.’22 This is completely at odds with that fact the hens had been debeaked, had open wounds and were all going to be killed at a slaughterhouse when they were no longer profitable. In reality, an egg-laying farm is arguably the least safe place a chicken could have the misfortune of finding themselves.
