I was in the business of matching for love—
“You’re like a tattooed, bearded, giant cupid,” she snickered. I rolled my eyes but then smiled. Little did she know, I had helped Cupid find his soulmate too.
I was like every other single person in the world. I wanted to find the person that was meant for me, the soul I would share a life with. I wanted to be loved.
I wanted to be mad, but I really couldn’t. I was intimidating and a little bit insane. I had been searching for him for so long, I hadn’t taken into account that a day of passion might not be enough to make him feel the same way. Once I knew he was safe, I’d have to spend some time making it up to him. If he’d take me back.
“Thank you,” he whispered, “For loving me, even when I didn’t think I deserved it.” That melted me. I pulled him against my chest, holding him to me.
