I FEEL SO LUCKY. I got four and a half years with my mom on earth. I’m grateful I got that time with her. It’s substantial and thank God I had that. Losing my mom at such a young age gave me this urgency—like, This is it: you are up to bat, baby! Because you never know how much time you’re going to have with someone. It gave me a sense of gratitude for the time on earth you do have with people. I don’t take any of it for granted. I love being a mom to Stella and Nolan.
