You look like a young Elizabeth Taylor.” She’s shy, shy, shy till she gains confidence; then she’s so bad, she gets sent away. I just exaggerated everything I felt. And there’s something so freeing about doing a character and not thinking about how you look. I didn’t want to look pretty. I wanted to look like the character.
