“Did you see her? Did you see Sara? Did you see her? Tell her I’m sorry. Tell her I tried … Tell her!”

This scene was just heart breaking and showed the desperation and condition of the survivors. It really helped set the tone for me during this part of the story.

“You’re a marvel,” Navid said as he began packing his own pack. “I know,” Tele said. She turned away from him to hide a warm blush.

There is definitely a building connection here. But at the same time I love how awkward both of them are with each other early in the book. Not to mention how blunt Tele is! She cracks me up more often than not.
