As QAnon’s popularity grew exponentially during the early days of the pandemic, Q himself barely acknowledged the virus. Q had promised for almost three years that globe-shaking events were just around the horizon. But when one arrived, Q fell silent. That left QAnon leaders and their followers a void in which to invent their own response to the pandemic. The result was a web of conspiracy theories that would become jumbled and contradictory even by QAnon’s standards.
