Wheeler’s “infinity rooms” seem simple, but they are really a product of intricate craftsmanship designed to eliminate any possible seam or shadow. To do this, he works with a team of fabricators to sculpt the far end of each room into a concave shape, like the inside of an eggshell, with fiberglass panels, resins, and paints. Then it is lit from various sources to create the illusion that all its depth has disappeared.
