“Would you like to act out one of my fantasies, Ms. Pierce?” “Oh, now I’m Ms. Pierce?” “For the sake of this fantasy you are.” “Is that your fantasy? Sex with other men’s wives? Your patients?” He stands behind me, drawing his hands up my sides dangerously slow. “No.” His voice sounds like sex and sin, and I feel my legs buckle. “Sex with Matthew Wells’ wife is my fantasy.”
“I was going to go to the store. What do you want for dinner?” I ask, thanking my stars that they aligned and allowed us to drive separate cars. It will provide the perfect ruse to go back and talk to Will—and I’m desperate to talk to him, see him, hold him, kiss him.
“I’ll see you at home,” he says to me, and places a cold kiss on my cheek. Then he’s gone. The thought does not escape me that my husband of five years, unlike my lover of four months, wasn’t concerned with the red wine affecting my ability to get myself home safely.
“This is the first time I’ve seen you today, how can you already be so pissy with me? Oh, is it that time?” he asks before he adds, “I wouldn’t know. It’s not like I see your vagina.” I blush bright red. “What the hell? Side note, you’ve known me for almost ten years and I’ve been taking the pill for the entire time. How the hell do you not know when it is?” I scoff. After four months, Will knows when my period is and even plans accordingly when it’s that week.
“Charlotte, he’s gone. It’s just you and me,” Matt whispers in my ear before placing another kiss on my forehead. I know he’s trying to comfort me, but I really wish he’d stop kissing me, especially in front of Will.
“Stop!” I say, pushing hard against his chest, and his hand that was trying to make its way into my pants is removed from my body. “I don’t want…” I narrow my eyes and I fear the tears will come at any moment. Not because of this argument with my husband, but because I feel sick that my husband’s hands were all over my body. When it belongs to Will.
“Do you know how late it is?” “How late is it?” he asks, as he turns to face me, his eyes still closed. “Eight thirty.” “Okay?” “Shouldn’t you be at work?” “I’m working from home,” he says turning back over. Great. How am I supposed to see Will before our session?
“I’ll text you.” “Make it work, Charley.” So, now on top of a clingy husband that won’t stop pawing at me, I have a jealous boyfriend that’s getting more possessive by the day. I am so fucked.
“Well, I’ve got some work to do before our session. I’ll be in my study if you need me.” “Okay,” I say, thankful that he didn’t try and kiss me with the flavor of Will’s cum still in my mouth.
“Don’t you have anything to say?” Matt asks, looking at Will. “I think you two should talk this one out.” “Is that what this is about? That I’m not ready for kids? So, if I was willing to start trying, I could at least see you fucking naked?” “First of all, that’s a low blow to try and manipulate me into bed by offering me something I want more than anything. Secondly, we are not going to have a baby to try and fix our marriage. That is the worst idea.” “I would have to agree with that,” Will interjects just a little too quickly. Relax, Montgomery. That’s not happening. The only kids I’m

Okay, Charley, this might backfire but…do it. “Seriously, Matt, when I’m not with you at some god-awful work function, I’m shopping or at spin class, maybe yoga, with Lauren, or here at therapy. So, unless I’m sleeping with Dr. Montgomery, I don’t think there are any other options.” I don’t even chance a look at him, because I know I’ll lose it. “Don’t be so inappropriate, Charlotte,” Matt scoffs and I still haven’t looked at Will after my comment. “Don’t Charlotte me. I am so sick of hearing you question whether or not I’ve been unfaithful. If you truly think I am, then leave me! For the love

“Who are your friends?” I ask, looking at the table. I can see the look he’s trying to give me. The soft, kind look as if he’s begging me to give him a chance to explain. “This is my brother, Andrew, his girlfriend, Olivia, and her friend Renee. Everyone, this is Matthew Wells and Charlotte Pierce.” I love the way he introduces us. You would never know we are married, which I think is his point.
I let my eyes glance at Will’s table and his eyes find mine immediately. I hope in that moment he can see what I’m feeling. We haven’t had a moment alone since the few minutes during our session and we haven’t had contact since the blow job I gave him that left me feeling empty and hurt. He didn’t even kiss me goodbye. And now he’s on a date.
I love supporting women’s wrongs 😭 she’s on a date with her husband but is mad her boyfriend is on an obviously forced double date 😭 Charley is my favorite
“Please don’t leave me over what happened earlier. I was such an asshole to you and you didn’t deserve it.” I can see the worry etched over his face. I reach out to stroke his jaw, letting my fingertips brush his stubble. His eyes close and he leans closer, into my hand.
I ignore my subconscious, knowing that I need Will’s touch so bad, in this moment, I probably wouldn’t care if Matt himself walked by.
I break the kiss, wanting the eye contact more, and I stare at the most beautiful man that has trusted me with his heart.
“I want it all. Marriage and a baby—babies. I want a life with you, Charley,” he shakes his head, “so much that…” I eye him. “So much that…?” He looks out the window, avoiding my gaze completely. I pull his chin to look at me, staring into his worried eyes. “So much that…” I repeat, urging him to complete the sentence. “I bought a house.” He rubs the back of his neck, something I’ve noticed he only does when he’s nervous. “You bought a house?” I ask, the shock evident in my voice. “Yes…for you to live in…with me. For us to live in together…and raise our family.” He looks as if he’s nervous to

I nod, rubbing my face against his chest that is still covered by his white dress shirt. I unbutton his shirt and press my face to the warmth, needing to feel the skin-to-skin contact and not caring that it’s coated with a layer of sweat.
“It means you took your wife for granted, Mr. Wells. She was screaming for your attention and you wouldn’t give it to her. She felt unappreciated and unloved…so she left, but not before giving you chance after chance.” “So much for you being impartial. Why do you always take her side?” He rubs his nose against mine and smiles again at me. Always, he mouths.
Don’t you dare lie to me and tell me it isn’t the same one from the restaurant.” “Watch it,” Will warns him. “Is that why you put such an emphasis on calling Renee Olivia’s friend? Because you didn’t want to piss your married girlfriend off?”
“Happy birthday.” He actually remembered this year. Wow. I nod. “Thank you, Matt.” He nods. “Are you doing anything today?” Yes, letting my boyfriend fuck me within an inch of my life.
“Who wrapped this for you?” I giggle and he gives me a sheepish grin. “I do have an advanced degree, Charlotte. I’ve seen it done enough times that I know how to fold some corners and cut and tape,” he jokes. He wrapped this? He actually took the time to wrap a gift for me. The thought doesn’t just count. The thought is everything. I was always more than aware that Matt had his assistant wrap all my gifts. Half the time he didn’t even know what the gift was in the first place. “Will.” I rub his jaw, letting my thumb skim his bottom lip. “I am…moved, beyond words. Thank you.”
