“There are three sides to every story. His side, her side, and the truth.
You are too much of a goddess to not be worshipped the way you deserve.”
“A fantasy is just that, Charlotte, a fantasy. It’s usually something deliciously forbidden. An act that isn’t safe anywhere but within the four corners of your mind. Words you can’t even bring yourself to utter out loud. Maybe after you come you feel a moment of clarity before the inevitable shame that comes with your nasty thoughts. But it’s there. It’s always there, lurking.”
“You are amazing. I want you every fucking minute,” he says between thrusts. “I’m going to come. I need you to get there.”
I don’t buy whatever Matt is selling—the phrase “too little, too late” blaring in my head like a flashing neon sign, but how do I answer this in front of my lover?
I’m in a relationship with two men and neither of them are giving me up.
“You must have lost your mind talking to me like that, Charlotte,” he growls in my ear.
“You are mine, Charlotte. If I want to rip your bra in half, I’ll rip your bra in fucking half.”
“Have your husband buy you one,” he snaps. “Tell him your marriage counselor ripped it off of you before he fucked you so hard you didn’t know your own name,” he says before he slams us against the wall.
You belong to me now,”
“You. Are. Mine.”
And if I can’t be with Will then I want to be alone.
“Because I love you,” he states firmly, like he’d said it a million times before. “I am so in love with you, Charley.”
“I love you, I would protect you from anything…everything. I would never let anyone hurt you.”
He loves me but…I’m not free to give myself to him completely. He must know my thoughts because he places his hands on my face. “I know you’re in a tough position, and I’m not asking you to make any decisions right now. I just want you to know that I’m in. I’m all in, Charley.”
I came here to clear things up…to get you back. To tell you I love you.”
“Leave him, Charley. Please. I know it’s going to be hard, but just…leave him. Because I’m miserable every second I’m not with you.”
“For falling in love with you. For letting you fall in love with me. It would be so much easier to walk away from you if I didn’t…” I look away from his gaze having realized what I said. “Say the words, Charlotte,” he says so quietly that I almost miss them. “I…I love you,”
know Will loves me and knows how I feel about him, but he still took a huge risk. He gambled on me and bought a house. A house for us to raise our kids.
cry because, in that moment, I know it’s over.
This feels like home…or maybe Will is my home.
Barefoot and pregnant in Will Montgomery’s kitchen.
“You’ve been having an affair under your husband’s nose for four months and he didn’t notice? Damn, no wonder you’re getting divorced,”
“Was it Montgomery who figured out about your stepfather?” “Yes.” He seems impressed. “Good man.” “He’s the best,” I whisper. “But a shitty marriage counselor.”
Happy Birthday to the love of my life. Looking forward to seeing you later to celebrate the first of many birthdays together. I’m so glad that you were born. I love you, WM
“Baby, anything with you is top priority. If you call me, it’s important. I will always make time to talk to you. You’ve been on my no-wait list for months.”
