Our role in conversations with children is a little different than our role in conversations with other adults. With adults, the goal of a discussion about climate change might be to raise awareness and encourage active engagement with the issue. With our kids, we might have the same goals, but we also bear the added responsibility of nurturing their mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. We want our children to love the natural world, rather than to fear it.
