His grip tightens, and as much as I think Ray deserves to have the snot choked out of him, I don’t want Jamie visiting her daddy in a Massachusetts state prison for the next twenty years.

pupils are dilated and his nostrils flare as he struggles to gather his composure.
“Are you going to drag your ass upstairs or do I have to carry the both of you?”
“It works via near-field communications,” Tucker informs me. “English, please.”
“Cool,” I say faintly.
Upstairs, I find a huge two-bedroom apartment. The kitchen is small and the appliances are old, but there are windows everywhere. The living room is filled with dust and exposed brick.
“I haven’t touched the bedroom because I figured you’d want a say,
kneels down to pull sleepy Jamie out. The little pill always falls asleep in the car.
God, he’s too gorgeous for words. His biceps is bigger than her head, but he’s as gentle as a lamb with her.
“I don’t know what to say.” He strides across the room and tucks a hand under my chin. “Say that this is home. For you, Jamie, and me.”
I close my eyes so he can’t see the emotion in them—the relief, the gratitude, the overwhelming love I have for him.
I don’t deserve him. Not one bit, but for some reason he wa...

One muscular arm clutches me close while the other holds our baby close.
Fitzy, who drove to Boston every weekend after I bought the bar, crashing on the floor of Jamie’s nursery and waking up at ungodly hours to help me out.
My woman glances at me.
“Want me to take her?” “No way,” Dean says instantly. “You can’t take her away from us! She’s barely spent any time with her uncles!”
“Right? I swear, I was so fucking worried he’d end up with an ugly baby and then I’d have to fake it. Day before I met her, I was practicing ‘Awwwwww! She’s so cute!’ for an hour in the mirror.”
“Tuck’s got magic sperm,” Dean agrees. Hollis snorts. “No, Tuck’s got a smokin’ hot baby mama. Genes, bro.”
Fitzy’s face turns as white as Jamie’s spit-up. Which is pooling on the sleeve of his T-shirt. He hasn’t noticed it yet, and I’m hoping someone else points it out so I don’t have to.
She’s lying in the middle of the bed with a textbook in her lap,
But the one thing I know about Sabrina—pushing her gets you the opposite result of what you’re hoping for. I get it, though. She’s been on her own all her life. Her dad bailed before she was even born. Her mom abandoned her. Her grandmother, as much as she claims to love her, always acts like she did Sabrina some huge favor by raising her.
Sabrina James isn’t used to people loving her. Sometimes I wonder if she even knows how to love someone back, but then I see her with our daughter, the way her face softens with love and adoration every time she looks at Jamie, and I know she’s capable of feeling deeply.
“I’m too exhausted to move my facial muscles.” “Really? That’s a damn shame, because I’m not tired at all.”
“Please don’t. This feels so good.” Her tone is slightly surprised. “You thought it would suck?” I pull her legs up around my shoulders so I can drill in deeper. “I had a baby.” “Your body is perfect.”
“Any more perfect and I’d be dead. You’re still tight as hell, wet as heaven.” She giggles. “Heaven is wet?”
“My heaven is wet and hot and belongs to this babe...

“Kiss me. I want your tongue in my mouth when I come.”
“You’ve killed me, Sabrina. I’m dead.”
“If this is you dead, I’m a little afraid of how long our next round is going to last.” “You might want to get a sandwich. I’m gonna keep you in bed for a long time.”
“Does that mean I can stop looking for a different woman?” “It means you have to stop,”
“Good. I’ve already told a few women around here that I’m married.” “Why?” “Jamie’s a chick magnet. I’ve never had so many women hit on me.”
But I’m not going to let you insult everything I do in this place. This is my home. Yes, I’m not perfect, but I’m trying. I love Jamie and I love Tucker and if, at any time, Harvard or work or anything threatens their happiness in any way, I would give it all up in a minute.”
“He and Jamie are the most important things in my life,”
“Are you kidding me? I lost my head for you the second we met. You know that.”
“You still don’t get it, do you?” “Get what?” she asks in a small voice. “You. Me. Us. This.” I spit out words as they pop into my head. “You’re the one, Sabrina. There’s no one else for me in this world, nobody but you. If I was driving and saw you on the side of the road? You better believe I’d rip out
a spark plug or two if it meant getting to spend even five seconds in your presence. You’re the fucking one.”
I don’t give a shit if that makes me pathetic—” “You’re not pathetic.” Her expression is fierce now. “You could never be pathetic.”
“You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, Sabrina James.” “No.” She smiles. “You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
He’s holding a squirming Jamie in his arms, but her efforts to wiggle out of his grip are futile, because her daddy’s strong as fuck.
