This planet was the Australia of the galaxy.
“I can taste the worry my words have stirred in you,” Szaro said. “I am taking you as my mate, Serena Bello. Ordosians bind for life. I have no control over what you will do, only over my own actions. Therefore, I will endeavor to be the best possible mate for you for as long as I draw breath, or until such time as you decide I’m not worthy.”
“My mate’s brother has a sense about things. Once he has decided he wants something, he will not stray from the path, no matter the cost or hardships to achieve his goal. The first time he saw you, his heart claimed you, even though his mind may not have known it.”
The Temern didn’t convince him to bond with you. Szaro had already decided to claim you as his mate last night. In his mind, he did so to save you, but I know my mating-brother. It is his heart that spoke.
“Right,” I said. “I’m not much of a scientific head and have no desire to lead. But I do love to hunt and always pictured myself becoming a ranger in some national park.” “And now, you get to be a ranger alongside your mate, for an entire planet, with the most exotic creatures of our galaxy,” Salha said smugly.
“If you have to eat three times a day, just how much of your day do you devote to these meal preparations? The cooking process sounds complicated,” Salha asked, flabbergasted, as we entered the building that I had mistaken for a greenhouse.
Szaro moved to the center of the circle and emitted a victorious war cry to which everyone responded with the rattling of their tails. That sound didn’t affect me like Szaro’s had when he’d done it next to my ear. He reattached the two halves of his staff into a single weapon, placed it on the ground next to him and extended both hands towards me. Salha led me to him. He drew me into his embrace, and I wrapped my arms around him. Fuck me sideways!! My knees turned to jelly at the hard feel of his chest against mine. I’d expected his scales to be hard and to scrape my skin, but they were smooth

When he straightened to look at me, a flash of light blue at the edge of my vision made me realize the females had resumed their dance, swirling their ribbons around us. I felt some of them brush against my arms and back, but they didn’t matter to me: Szaro did. His strong hand slid up my spine to cup my nape moments before he claimed my mouth. Liquid fire poured through my veins. It wasn’t the chaste kiss from our human wedding. This was possessive, dominant, and passionate. Just as I was melting in his arms, he broke the kiss, his lips tracing a burning trail along my jawline and down my

“No, my mate. You have been thrown into a situation you weren’t ready for,” he said gently. “The day you bare yourself in my presence, it will be because you want to, not because you feel you have to. I will not have you ever be uncomfortable because of me. I will be outside.”
My brain froze for a second as I stared at him in disbelief. “Did you just offer to show me your dick?”
“One thing I can promise you, my Serena, is that once you’ve been with an Ordosian, you’ll have no more use for human men,” he whispered in a purring tone that messed me up inside.
But I reined in the urge. I was the greatest Hunter of my tribe, and I loved a good chase. None was more worthy than this one. As much as she denied it, my prey was already caught. I just needed to be patient until she willingly surrendered. And she would.
“You need to let me take care of you. Come to me, my mate.” He extended a hand towards me.
“Okay, you win. You’re a very comfortable mattress,” I said in a whisper.
“Then search no more, Serena. This is exactly what we are, and you will never find a greater park than this one,” he said in a deep voice. “The entire planet is our playground. You haven’t seen exotic until you’ve explored all of Trangor. I promise, you will fall in love with this place… and with me.”
