I chuckled when I remembered the one time I’d come inside the house and seen Addy snapping her fingers to the rhythm of a pop song. She probably had no idea just how similar she was to her mother. How special she was too.

“I would do anything for—” His Adam’s apple bobbed. “For Louis.”

“I would’ve let you break my heart a thousand times over, just for the chance of getting more of the moments of pure happiness I felt when I was with you. If you’d just given me something, I would’ve given you everything.”
