Boris Kharlov looked dubiously at the flour crepes that had turned out to be one of their two choices. Since the other had been a rice porridge that Kharlov could see at a glance he'd dislike, he'd dropped two of these crepes on his plate.
If Halstead is describing what I think he is, I think I have eaten those crepes. Those are delicious and regional delicacies for the Fujian region.
