She insisted that we both brush our teeth before getting into the shower. It didn’t bother me, but it was kind of cute, standing with her at the sink and brushing together like a married couple. It made me feel warm inside, being connected to someone else like this. Standing completely naked with her and doing something so mundane, and yet, it was everything. It was as if my world had gone from black and white, dull and meaningless, to vivid colour since she’d walked into my life, and I never wanted it to end.
