Swankie had joked earlier that RTR felt like a “white van convention” and, in a literal sense, this was true. Most of the vans were painted white, glinting in the bright desert glare. Since commercial fleets often use white vans, the vehicles are ubiquitous. They are easy to buy secondhand and blend in just about everywhere, making them a popular choice for vandwellers.
