I rounded the corner and saw a large crowd of people holding campaign signs. They started cheering as soon as they saw me. I bounded toward them high-fiving people and thanking them. In moments I was surrounded by people chanting my name and clapping me on the shoulders. A number of people had their phones out to snap pictures, and I pivoted my head for a couple seconds in each direction so they each could get the right angle.
