“Before we left the party. You told me you were cold.” I look at Oakley and find his cheeks a subtle shade of pink. He meets my stare, and our eyes lock. “You look good in it. Keep it.”
“You always let me choose the music,” I state. “I do.” “Why?” He rubs a hand over the back of his neck. “You get excited when you pick it. Your leg starts bouncing, and you smile.”
“I like you, Ava. Enough that the sight of you wearing another guy’s clothes makes me see red.”
Jamie #11
“This is the best gift I’ve ever gotten.”
“I’m going to marry you someday,” I murmur, biting down gently on the side of her throat. She gasps, grinding down on me. Carefully, I push my hands through her hair, collecting it in my fists before pulling her head back. She stares at me, pupils blown, puffy pink lips parted. “I’m going to give you my last name, and we’re going to have a life together. A family. You and me and however many kids you want.”
I finally did it. I made it.
